Introduction:
Planetary Mixer is used in Bitumen Testing Laboratories to speed up the process of preparing cylindrical specimens for Marshal Stability Test. The mix is uniformly heated and mixed to yield homogenous mix of better moulds for testing. The same mixer with heating jacket and some modifications can also be used for mixing of soil, cement paste, mortars, pozzolanas etc.
Salient Features:
  • Electrically operated
  • Fitted with heating jacket, Stainless Steel paddle and Electric Motor for thorough mixing of Bitumen.
  • Electric Motor is connected to epicyclical type stainless steel paddles to impart both planetary and revolving motion for uniform mixing.
  • The mixer has three different speeds for mixing i.e. Low, Medium and High.
  • Mixer blade has low speed of 140 ± 5 rpm and medium speed of 285 ± 10 rpm, while it also has a planetary movement of 62 ± 5 rpm in low range and planetary movement of  125 ± 10 rpm in medium range.
  • Stainless Steel paddle is fitted inside the stainless steel bowl of approximately 5 liter capacity with handle.
  • The 500 Watts heating jacket with energy regulator to control the temperature of mixture is fitted below the bowl.
  • Thermostat controlled temperature
  • Complete unit is supported on a strong iron frame.
  • External body of the unit is powder coated in attractive shades.
  • Suitable to work on 230-220 Volt, 50 Hz, Single phase, AC Supply
