The complete range of VERTEX Triaxial Cells have their top and base assemblies machined from dur-aluminum or non corrosive alloy. The upper assembly, with a seamless acrylic tube, is clamped to the base by quick action studs.

For testing of cylindrical specimens of 38mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm diameter with corresponding length to diameter ratio 1:2 as per IS:2720 part XII.

OVERVIEW

(Stationary Bushing) for 38mm and 50mm dia. Specimens.

Pressure-tight Chamber: The cell is made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant material to maintain a sealed, pressure-tight environment. It can withstand the maximum confining pressures required for different types of soils.

Membrane and O-ring Seals: A rubber membrane encases the soil sample to prevent water entry, with O-ring seals at both ends to prevent fluid leakage.

Piston for Axial Load: The triaxial cell has a piston (loading ram) that transfers the axial load to the sample. This piston is carefully aligned and frictionless to avoid additional forces on the specimen.

Valves for Saturation and Drainage: It has ports for drainage and saturation, allowing water or air to be added or removed as needed for different test configurations (e.g., consolidated-drained or consolidated-undrained tests).

Supplied complete with :

  1. Loading pad made of Perspex for 38mm & 50mm Dia. Specimens.
  2. Pair of plain discs made of Perspex for 38mm & 50mm Dia. X 6mm thick.
  3. Pair of porous stone 38mm & 50mm Dia. X 6mm thick.
  4. Split sand former for 38mm & 50mm Dia. Specimen.
  5. Sheath stretcher for 38mm & 50mm Dia. Specimen.
  6. One dozen rubber sheaths for 38mm & 50mm Dia. Samples.
  7. For synthetic rubber ‘O’ rings for 38mm & 50mm Dia. Specimen.
  8. One Plastic drainage tube.

Triaxial Cell for 38/50mm diameter x 76/100mm high specimen

Suitable for lateral pressure up to 1000 kpa, the cell has four take off positions drilled in the base for cell pressure, pore water pressure, and for top and bottom drainage.

Fitted with 4 no-volume change valves and one dead end plug. Cell is supplied complete with one loading pad, two porous stones, one sheath stretcher, one split sand former, 10 latex rubber sheaths and four sealing rings for 38/50 mm dia samples.
