OVERVIEW

The lower specimen grip is mounted on a disc that rotates freely. The soil sample is mounted on the lower specimen grip and the upper grip is firmly seated on top of the specimen. The vertical guide can be adjusted to control the depth of the cut. While trimming the lower disc is rotated by hand.
