OVERVIEW

Rock Permeability Test Apparatus meets the essential requirements laid down in IS:4348-1973.

It is single panel unit on which are mounted a set of valves, pressure gauge, pressure regulator, brass water reservoir, graduated glass tube etc.

The outlet of the reservoir is connected to the top of the permeability cell. It is made out of non-corrosive material or MS chemically coated for rust protection.

Air-vent valve is provided on the top plate, while at the bottom a funnel is fixed through which passes the percolated water to the measuring bottle.
Cell can accommodate 100 mm dia x 100 mm high specimen.

  • Suitable reservoir tank (non corrosive) fitted with gauge to hold pressure of atleast 0.7 N/mm2, valves, flow control/pressure regulator, graduated glass tube, air bleeder valve, drain cock etc.,.
  • Three porous stones to fit into the base.
  • Standard accessories (suitable spanner set, flexible pipe, 3 sets of top and bottom porous stones etc.,) shall be provided.
