Application:

This apparatus is used for determination of Flash Point of petroleum products except fuel oil with open flash above 80°C as per specification given in IP 36/57, IS 1448 (P:69) 1969 and ASTM-D-92-67.

Significance & Use:

Flash point is used in shipping and safety regulations to define flammable and combustible materials. Flash point can indicate the possible presence of highly volatile and flammable materials in a relatively nonvolatile or nonflammable material. The flash point is one measure of the tendency of the test specimen to form a flammable mixture with air under controlled laboratory conditions.

Construction Details:

  1. This apparatus consists of the test cup, heating plate, test flame applicator, heater, supports as described in IP and in ASTM specifications.
  2. The complete apparatus is manufactured from Brass or Stainless Steel Material
  3. Heater is controlled by energy regulator and temperature displayed on Digital temperature indicator fitted to the apparatus.
  4. Suitable for operation on 220 Volts, 50 cycles AC mains supply.
  5. Aesthetic outer appearance
  6. Low cost model. Basic Model with ARBITRARY control over the rate of rise of temp.
