Vertex Marshall Stability Test Apparatus is used by road constructors, contractors, engineers, testing laboratories and other industries to test the stability of bituminous samples.

The VSLIC-B122 Marshall Stability with Proving Ring 50kN (4Inch) is used to determine the maximum load and flow values of bituminous mixtures.

OVERVIEW

The VSLIC-B122 50 kN capacity Marshall Stability Test Machine with Proving Ring is used to determine the maximum load and flow values of bituminous mixtures.

The VSLIC-B122 comprises a robust and compact two column frame with adjustable upper cross beam.

The unit is a bench mounted compression frame with motor and worm gear housed within the base unit.

The mechanical jack raises the lower platen at a constant speed of 50.8 mm/min as required in the relevant standard. For safety, the up and down travel of the lower platen movement is limited by limit switches.

Rapid adjustment of the platen is also provided using the control buttons on the front panel of the machine.

The measuring system consists of a 50 kN capacity load ring, digital flow meter (dial gauge) fitted to the breaking head.

The Vertex Marshall Stability Machine is also suitable for testing 4” dia. specimens (100 mm) conforming to ASTM D5581.

The machine can be hand operated by a lateral hand wheel for calibration purposes; the hand wheel is supplied complete with the machine.

Breaking head/s and/or indirect tensile strength test jig/s should be ordered separately.

Marshal Stability Test Apparatus is supplied with following parts & accessories

  1. Three specimen moulds, cylindrical 4″ diameter
  2. Three base plate.
  3. Three collars 4.1/8″ diameter
  4. Two compactions hammers, 4.5kg weight and 47.7cm drop.
  5. One specimen extractor.
  6. One compaction pedestal complete with specimen holder
  7. One breaking head assembly, complete with gauge disc and flow meter pedestal.
  8. One loading transfer bar.
  9. 50 KN capacity Loading unit motorized with uniform vertical movement of 5.08 cm/min.
  10. Suitable for operation on 230 Volts, 50 Hz, AC supply. With limit switch to restrict over travel.
  11. One PROVING RING 3000 kg (30 KN) capacity fitted with calibration report
